I am moving out of my house and having my water turned off. My home is going to be vacant for at least a month. How can I safely turn off my gas hot water heater? I am leaving my gas and electric ON so the sump-pump can run, but I don’t want the hot water heater going. What do I need to do?
Where I live, the gas and electric are all the same company, and you cannot shut off one without shutting off both…stupid I know.
